DANTHEMENACE

Wow.. I never thought I will want to be associated with a public blog (especially if the contents are not so ’straight’) a few years ago. But I guess people grow, people change and I shall be more truthful to myself (at least).

I am currently studying in NUS, majoring in a course that I do not like (especially the practical sessions). It is funny really coz at one point, I was really really interested in the coz, especially on the practical part. But like I’ve already said, as time passes, you started changing, for better or worse, I guess no one can really tell.

Erm, besides that, I am also 1/3 of my foot in a coffin (so I’m almost ancient) and it’s quite frightening to think of that. As of now, I also never been in love (which is sort of pathetic) but then again, I do not think I would ever be in a relationship coz I much 2 afraid of failures and heartbreak. And besides, I really really have my family to think about.

I hope that I am not judged upon harshly juz because I do not want to be out. It is especially e-rriating to have people to force their ideas on you. I mean I will respect your decision to be out to anyone you know but you should also know that it is my RIGHT to do whatever I want to do with my life and even if it is going to be miserable, it is my life and I do not need your insults to wake up my ideas. GET A LIFE MAN! There are better ways to convince a person than plain insults. Some people are juz 2 brainless, perhaps they are poisoned by being in the city too long.

OMEPRAZOLE

There may be some of you who are wondering what ‘omeprazole’ means and why the hell am I using it as my username. The reasoning is actually quite simple, I want my nickname to be that of some drug. I think drugs are interesting and the names are quite cool. (Ok, I sound like a geek) I initially wanted ‘morphine’ but it was already taken. I was thinking, ‘Morphine. A cure for your pain.’ Heh. But yeah, sadly, it was no longer available. I tried quite a few drug names until ‘omeprazole’ was accepted. So here I am.

Omeprazole, pronounced as ‘oh MEP ra zol’, according to Drugs.com, is a drug that ‘decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach.’ In other words, this drug is used to counteract the effects of oversecretion of stomach acids. If you want to know more about it, either search for it online or ask your friendly neighbourhood Pharmacist I just wanted to give you all some rough idea on where the hell I got this drug from. Haha. And just for the record, I DO NOT HAVE any problems with my stomach. So yeah.

Moving on to a short self introduction. Like my fellow knight danthemenace, I am also an undergraduate in a local university. I love music. Can’t live without it. I am a happy-go-lucky type of person. An optimist and a bit of an idealist. My close friends say I am weird though but I think we all are unique and ‘weird’ in our ways. Heh. Loves chocolates. Pretty much a person who goes against the norm. I do not have a Friendster profile nor a Facebook account (So don’t bother asking me if I have one. Ok, I am thinking too much and assuming that people would actually would like to know me. Apologies). Hah.

I believe in living each day with a smile and that every minute and every second of life should be enjoyed, be it slacking away at home or partying the night away at a club. I am a homebody and a party animal in one body (does that actually happen?). I am a night owl. A nocturnal ‘animal’. Sleeping by day, awake by night. I am omeprazole. And that’s all that you need to know. For now.

Like many here, I too hail from a local university. To much of my readers surprise, I’m neither from the Faculty of Arts nor am I from Business School. My flair (or if you find it distasteful by all means) in writing has absolutely no bearing whatsoever to what I am studying, so don’t bother trying to guess. I love the sun, the sand and the sea, and where better place to be than the sunny, somewhat engineered isle of Sentosa. And no, contrary to popular believe, I DO NOT go there to cruise. Frisbee and volleyball are more entertaining than senselessly staring into someone’s abs.

An ex-swimmer (I emphasize EX), I naturally love water, and any sports related. Swimming, waterpolo, canoeing, diving. BUT NO, NOT DRAGONBOAT. I find it amusing for that to be even considered a sport, when half the people there goes to the gym groaning and wincing as they carry their weights, which mind you are much lighter than mine. FYI There’s no tint of arrogance in me saying that. I find it highly unnerving for some boaters to hold such snobbish attitude when

1. the club seems to produce bodybuilder wannabes than athletes with substance and

2. they get beaten by their canoeing club counterparts in their own dragonboating event. What comtemptible and ignominious disgrace.

***DISCLAIMER: I’m entitled my thoughts. Please don’t bash be for saying something that peeves me so. If it steps on your toes, I’m sorry. But life is such. We all have to live with it.***

With that being said, neither do I enjoy a pool littered with dirty old men who inconsiderately park themselves by the side attempting to cruise through my swimwear – especially when they become an unwelcomed hindrance to me completing my laps. Get a life. And no, I don’t tan. I don’t need to.

As much as I would like to carry on my introduction, I shall have to practice some cyberspace discretion and stop here. It’s rather dangerous to reveal everything online and risk having some psychotic stalker or malicious slanderer make on/offline references to who I am. So please don’t bother searching. And I shall henceforth try to make it a point to post entries in the day rather than during the twisted nether hours, when my frontal lobe seems to be especially inundated with caustic criticisms.

like some of my fellow knights, i am also an undergraduate, but not with a local university, am from one of the many private institutions out there who offers private degree programs.
i am a facebook and msn slut. my daily routine is to switch on the pc, log on to FB and msn and park myself there. and i could be doing other stuff, but my presence is always on fb and msn. my frens have commented i dun have a life, which is quite true.

i am also a cam whore, one dat is ugly looking thou.. i love taking picture of anyting, from the food i ate, the places i visited, my frens and of cos, myself. m quite trigger happy with my cam phone..
i aint much of a party animal unlike Omeprazole.. once a while u can find me at play or power house..
wait.. maybe i am a party animal, since every fri i am at play.. snigger..

i am one of the many boyfrens of Mr Sun.. we alway date @ places like delta or queentowns pool. ( nowadays more at queentown since i like the tranquility of the place.) and also sentosa.. but even with the frequent dating , i am not getting any enjoyable “sex”. we had tried every form of lucubration, from banana boat, to copper tone and now the latest, hawaiian tropics. wonder why is that so? sex dun last.. i was getting sick of it and had tried to date Mr Indoor Sun. But being atas, my relationship with Mr Indoor Sun din really last and i am now back with the Mr Sun.
besides gg to d pools and beaches, our date would be watching movies, going to small rooms to belt out words with rhythms, and of cos my fav, be in la la land.. ( zzzZ)

Am a combi of several characteristics.. Am a bitch and himbo wannabe.. Am the younger sibling of Bloody Mary ( go figure). Cow is my best fren and Another best fren of mine is sotong too.. we are like the best bud ever…

Hmmm some random words: talkative, loyal, stubborn, caring, have sense of humour, serious, rational most times, emotional, simple yet complex …

Now that the most difficult part is done with, here are some hard facts:

- Unlike most of the knights here, I’m way past student life. Suffice to say that I’m more than 3 decades old

- I’m working in the actuarial field and likely to do so in the short-medium term. At this point, several readers probably went, “Huh? Come again?” (not so soon dear hehe). There will be a post about the mysterious world of actuaries…provided I remember.

- I love reading (David Edding’s Belgariad & Mallorean series, Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time, Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot & Miss Marple series), playing computer games (Heroes), tennis, table-tennis, listening to music (Colour of My Love, Because of You, Quan Shu Tian Shi, Beiji Xing De Yen Lei), watch Japanese anime (Inuyasha, Naruto, Bleach). I do watch movies if my friends drag me in (While You Were Sleeping, Everafter, Devil Wears Prada, Turn Left Turn Right, Stardust)
